Archmage Orladin Tied with "Cosmic Genesis" for Vintersorg's best album. A beautiful, fun, and thoroughly captivating album in its entirety. Probably the best folk metal album I've ever heard. Something about it is bright and mood lifting, and it's one of the few albums that doesn't get me amped so much in a headbang sort of way, but rather elates me, picks me up. Cannot recommend it enough. Favorite track: Fran Materia till ande.

never been a big death metal fan but this is actually super accessible for the genre, has fun concepts, and personally i'm always a fan of albums with short tracklists and huge runtimes (for individual songs) Great time, good jumping on point for newbies too. alienasu

The first 30 seconds of "Revenge by Fire" convinced me to get the whole album! It is a face-melting blend of speed and black metal, reminiscent of Hellripper! KVAEN is a Swedish solo project much like Hellripper but many known guest musicians helped J. Björnfot in his endeavor. Altogether it is really a solid debut album, I loved the melodies and the pace changes in the second half too, ending with a "calm" instrumental one. Well-done!! sachavonkarl74
